You may be at increased risk and need immediate antibiotics if you are:

More than 80 years old and have one of the following risks:

  • Hospitalized in past year
  • Taking oral steroids
  • Diabetic
  • You have congestive heart failure

Or, if you are more than 65 years old and have 2 of the above risk factors.
