This is a rash that typically presents on the face.
It is associated with facial flushing and affects older people more. Women tend to get it more than men.
Symptoms of rosacea
- Redness on the face
- Facial flushing on the forehead, nose and cheeks
- Small blood vessels that are visible on the skin
- Oedema (fluid retention, causing swelling)
- Spots, e.g. papules and pustules affecting the forehead, cheeks, nose and the chin
